The XR Cryo Chamber Lite gives studios a mobile liquid-nitrogen chamber with layered safeguards. It surrounds the body up to the neck with cold nitrogen gas at temperatures down to −220°F, real-time thermal imaging tracks skin temperature, and dual fingerprint authorization requires one certified operator and one approved user. It is made in the USA, wheels into place on lock-down industrial casters and self-installs with a 110 V outlet, Wi-Fi and a liquid nitrogen supply, and an onboard point-of-sale handles accounts, sessions and payments.

What a session looks like

The operator screens the client, explains the protocol and starts the chamber. The client steps in and is exposed to extreme cold for 1 to 3 minutes while the operator watches the touchscreen and any monitoring on the unit. The client then steps out and the chamber recovers for the next session. Every session should be run by trained operators following the manufacturer's safety protocol.

Space, power and setup

Liquid-nitrogen chambers need a local nitrogen supplier and storage, plus ventilation and oxygen monitoring in line with local codes; nitrogen is not included with the chamber. Measure the doorway and room, confirm the electrical requirement with the manufacturer, and plan for trained operators. Professional installation is recommended. Safety and who should not use it

Cryotherapy is intended for healthy adults using it as directed. Anyone with a medical condition, or who is unsure whether they are eligible, should speak with a physician first. The manufacturer lists the following as conditions to check before treatment:

• Heart and circulation: peripheral arterial disease, ischemic heart disease, unstable angina, arrhythmia, heart attack or stroke within the past 12 months, valve disease or heart failure, uncontrolled high blood pressure, deep vein thrombosis and other circulatory problems
• Lungs and nervous system: COPD, symptomatic lung disorders, cold-activated asthma, certain nervous-system conditions
• Surgery and devices: heart surgery, including pacemakers and defibrillators
• Infection: active skin infections, open wounds or ulcers, active tuberculosis, current urinary tract infection
• Other: severe anemia, severe claustrophobia, acute kidney or chronic liver disease, diabetes, vasculitis, Raynaud's disease, polyneuropathy, bleeding disorders, cold hypersensitivity (such as cold urticaria), active cancer, seizure disorders, excessive sweating
• Pregnancy or possible pregnancy

User safety guidelines

• Wear undergarments at all times during sessions.
• Do not use the chamber with rashes or open wounds.
• Remove lotions before treatment and do not apply them beforehand.
• Make sure there is no sweat or body jewelry before entering.
• Keep your head up throughout the session, and never inhale nitrogen gas.
• Keep your shoulders centered with the blue N₂ panel for proper positioning.
• Cover hands and feet with the provided warm gloves and boots to help prevent frostbite.

FAQs

Can it be used without an operator?
No. Every session requires an operator. Both the operator and the user must be signed in, and the operator must press Continue when prompted.

What does the head proximity sensor do?
It checks that the user's head stays above the top of the chamber, and shuts the system off promptly if it drops below.

How much space is needed?
A 10' × 10' area is enough for the chamber and one or two liquid nitrogen dewars.

Can the dewars be stored outside?
Yes, inside or outside the building, subject to local codes and supplier guidance.

Do I have to use the point of sale?
Yes. The built-in POS tracks customer accounts, sessions and stats, and manages payments and access.

What is the biggest risk?
If instructions are not followed, the main risk is frostbite. Always wear the gloves and boots and follow the operator's prompts.

Does it affect my liability insurance?
General liability policies typically cover this type of unit, but confirm with your insurer for your location.
