Used buyer checklist
- Ask for the model, serial number and purchase date, and confirm with the manufacturer.
- Ask whether the warranty transfers and get it in writing.
- Inspect seals, zippers and valves for wear, and test the pressure gauges.
- Ask for the hours on the compressor and concentrator and any service history.
- For a hard-shell chamber, ask for inspection and certification records. ASME certification, for example, applies to some Macy-Pan HE5000 models.
